What exactly do you do?
The heart of what we do is teach you how to get the most of your Apple branded products in the quiet, comfort, and convenience of your own home. This includes Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod, AirPort, Time Capsule, Apple TV, and any other Apple accessories.
In terms of apps, we teach all the software that came on your Mac, as well as Apple's iWork software: Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. If you would like training on Apple's professional software, all trainers will cover Aperture and most are certified to teach Final Cut Pro X. We also love talking about popular third party solutions like Dropbox, Evernote, and much more.
While we do not support Windows computers, we will be glad to transfer your data to a new Mac.
Will you troubleshoot my wireless network, install a printer, or set up my Apple TV?
Yes! Wireless and printer setups are frequent requests. So are Apple TVs. We will work with any name brand printer (Canon, Epson, HP, Brother, etc.) We recommend any of the models that are on sale at the Apple Store or any printer equipped with AirPrint.
Do you teach group workshops?
You bet! We conduct several training events for businesses and social clubs each month. These days, it's mostly about the iPad. If you would like to learn more about workshops, click here.
What do you not cover?
We do not provide training on financial software (like Quickbooks and Quicken), or Microsoft Office. Nor do we support FileMaker Pro, Final Cut Pro 8 or earlier, Final Cut Express, or Logic. We do not support non-Apple smart phones or tablets. Whew!
I have a super old Mac — is that a problem?
We certainly treat everyone on a case-by-case basis, but on the whole, we prefer to work with Macs purchased within the last four or five years running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or later. The first order of business will be to update your Mac's software to the most current version. If your Mac cannot run current software, we kindly suggest buying a new Mac.
The time I want isn't available on your website. What do I do?
Unfortunately, if a time isn't available on our website, it is because we are either already booked or have other obligations. Give us a call and we'll figure something out.

Will you teach my kids stuff while I go shopping and get my hair did?
We like kids, but if you want us to teach yours, then you need to be in the room with us, please.
I have a complicated project. Will you still help me?
We can most certainly help you produce your special project, but for elaborate projects, you might want to consider going a different route: Appinstructor Studios.
